1. Who is Endeavor Homes?
(a) An employee-owned company.

(c) Shipped many homes throughout California and Northern Nevada from our Oroville, CA plant continuously occupied by our ancestry of parent companies since the 1950's (including DiGeorgio Timber Inc., and Las Plumas Lumber Co.)
2. What is unique about the Endeavor Homes package?
(a) Complete owner/builder building material package.

3. Who builds their own home?

6. Does Endeavor use standard plans without modifications?
Endeavor has 25 standard plans and can accomodate modifications to most plans.
7. What about a custom floor plan?
We consider custom plans if they fit Endeavor's profile. 50% of our business (Oakdale Distributors is custom homes.
8. What is included in the Endeavor Homes Package?
ALMOST EVERYTHING! Our standard building package includes not only the pre-cut lumber, siding, shingles, sheetrock, electrical, plumbing, heating, cooling, 2x6 exterior walls, R:19 wall insulation, R:30 ceiling
insulation, dual glazed sliding vinyl windows, custom red oak cabinets, tubs, sinks, countertops, wall-to-wall carpets, doorbells, rain gutters, paint, stain, and yes, even the nails! Please see Page 10 of this website for a more complete list of materials.
9. The package is complete with two important exceptions:
(a) Concrete foundation, anchors and foundation forms.
(b) Rough plumbing supplies.
10. What are the benefits of such a complete package?
(a) Cost control (everything is provided).
(b) Time savings.
(c) Customer has proper quality and quantity of materials.
11. How is the material delivered? (As you want it!)
(a) Floor package - (Quiet "I Joists", subfloor, fasteners, netting, and R-19 Insulation for flooring).
(b) Pre-nailed wall sections, numbered for fast installation.
(c) Trusses ( takes customer to lock-up stage).
(d) Sheetrock & insulation.
(e) Finish.
12. How can an Owner/Builder build an entire house if they have never done it before?
(a) Professional, code approved blueprints are supplied.
(b) How-to booklets and the Endeavor Homes Oakdale Distributors renown "Endeavor Owner Builder Manual".
(c) Wall sections are pre-nailed.
(d) Endeavor Homes support.
(e) Professional on site and phone consulting included with your package.
13. Does Endeavor Homes do any part of the actual construction?
No, but installation is included for the heating and air conditioning systems and the cabinets and the countertops! Endeavor Homes is not a licensed contractor but uses licensed subcontractors for installation of these items. Your walls and trusses are also built at our plant, however you do the actual installation.
14. What are the cost elements of a complete Endeavor Home?
(a) Land, permits, structural engineering review, energy code compliance, rough plumbing, foundation.
(b) Our package & upgrades.
(c) Subcontractor or helper labor.
15. What is the price range for a standard package?

16. Is price protection available?
A small deposit gives you 4-8 months price protection.
17. Will most banks help finance Owner/Builder packages? No, but Endeavor Homes is the exception!
Bank requirements:
(a) Land can be paid off, but not always necessary.
(b) Land subordination.
18. Is there financing available for Endeavor packages?
Yes
19. What kind of costs can be added into the package for the purpose of financing?
(a) Land payoff
(b) Endeavor's package
(c) Sub-contractors costs
(d) Permits, fees
(e) Upgrades
(f) Interest reserve to help with payments during construction (not recommended)
20. How much cash does one put into the project?
Normally 15-20% of total value; sweat equity can take care of the rest.
21. Is a building location required before discussing a house plan with an Endeavor Distributor?
No, you are in an excellent position to measure your financial strength and not overbuy your land.
22. How long does it take the "average" Owner/Builder to complete a home, start to finish?
Realistically; 6-1/2 to 7 months or more; that includes working after work and most weekends. Two story homes add 2-3 months.
23. What makes the Endeavor Homes Package so popular?
(a) Endeavor has a complete package with almost everything included; this fixes the price and saves time.
